Achēv Awarding Scholarships to Youth Interested in a Skilled Trades Career

We’re excited to announce that Achēv is awarding scholarships to 6 eligible youth in Mississauga and Brampton to attend a 12-week Introduction to Home Renovation Training Program starting April 1, 2024, followed by continued employment coaching and job search support. The training will take place at the Skilled Trades College of Canada. The scholarships are funded by John Laing Charitable Trust and Mobilinx. 

Achēv remains committed to providing BIPOC youth with the skills needed for entrepreneurship and starting a rewarding career in the skilled trades sector. We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to build a better life and successful future, and we are dedicated to ensuring BIPOC youth have the necessary tools to kickstart their career in skilled trades. 

Program Highlights: 

• 12 weeks Intro to Home Renovation Training 
• 80% hands-on training 
• One-on-one coaching 
• Training session on learning to be self-employed 
• Exposure to employment opportunities
