Kick Start Your Skilled Trades Career

Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, and facilitated by Achēv, the Skilled Trades Connection provides BIPOC youth an efficient pathway to in-demand careers in the construction trades.

Program Highlights:

  • 12 weeks Intro to Home Renovation Training
  • 80% hands-on training
  • One-on-one coaching
  • Training session on learning to be self-employed
  • Exposure to employment opportunities
  • BIPOC youth aged 18-29 (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour)
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of minimum 7
  • Have an interest in Skilled Trades
  • Able to commitment to the training schedule (Must attend the whole class)
  • Pass Skilled Trade Test
