Achēv’s Y2A – Youth 2 Action program (formerly Youth LEaD) introduces newcomer youth 14-29 years old to various volunteer and civic engagement opportunities through event planning, project coordination and skills training workshops. Youth are trained to initiate new ideas, events and movements while also creating a community and network of individuals that continue to pass skills and knowledge to others. The program aims to create leaders of tomorrow by helping youth gain the extensive skill set needed to excel both professionally and personally while also giving back to the community. This program is open to newcomer youth who reside in the Region of Peel and can volunteer up to 100 hours through workshops and planning a virtual event.
