Funded by The Royal Bank of Canada, the Elevate Program was designed to support newcomer women in developing networking opportunities, creating attainable career pathways, and planning and starting a small home business.
Elevate Project Activities:
- Virtual group check-in once a week
- Career planning workshops
- Personal development workshops
- Self-employment workshops
- Networking opportunities
- Community engagement opportunities
- Mentor development opportunities
If you fit one of the points below, this might be the right program for you.
- If you are under-employed and need help with developing a career pathway in Canada
- If you are a stay-at-home mother deciding on how to start a small home business
- If you are looking to develop your networking to help explore other career options
- If you are working but thinking of creating additional income
- If you are unemployed and trying to learn the tricks of the hidden job market and understand other ways of meeting people and getting a job
The program will run for 4 months, but mentorship will last for up to 1 year.

Eligibility
- You identify as a woman between 18-45 years old
- You live in Brampton, Caledon, or Mississauga (or can go to events and meetings in one of these cities)
- You have been in Canada for less than 5 years and you are a Permanent Resident (PR), Convention Refugee, New Canadian Citizen
