Moya MacKinnon
Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and External Relations, Achēv
Moya MacKinnon is key member of the Senior Leadership Team at ACHĒV, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & External Relations. In her role, she brings strategic leadership, direction and management to lead ACHĒV’s Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Sponsorship and Integrated Communications which encompasses Government Relations, Public Relations and Marketing.
With over 30 years’ experience working in employment, training, youth, women and settlement fields, she has advanced, implemented, and managed a variety of government funded programs at the municipal, provincial and federal level and services to meet the needs of individuals and businesses ensuring that they meet their goals. A skilled collaborator, Moya brings her many connections and networks to her role serving on many advisory committees and as an active member of the non-profit community. Moya serves on the Steering Committee for the Halton Newcomer Strategy Group, is actively engaged with local immigration partnerships such as the Peel Newcomer Strategy Group, and other groups across the GTHA that support employers and job seekers. Moya has developed her knowledge of newcomer settlement and employment, youth and women’s issues through her long tenure in the field. Her strategic leadership and passion for seeing others succeed, make her a valuable member of the ACHĒV Senior Leadership Team.
Outside of Achēv, Moya connects to her community by volunteering with the Rotary Club of Mississauga and St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.
