With more than 30 years of experience in employment, training, and settlement, Moya MacKinnon is a transformational leader who drives innovation and fosters strategic partnerships at Achēv. As Senior Vice President of External Relations, she provides visionary leadership across New Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Partnerships, and Integrated Communications, which encompasses Government Relations, Public Relations, and Marketing.
Moya’s journey with Achēv began as a client, evolving through various roles that expanded her responsibilities and expertise. She has spearheaded the development and implementation of government-funded programs at municipal, provincial, and federal levels, ensuring that individuals and businesses achieve their goals. A collaborative strategist, she leverages her extensive networks and leadership roles across advisory committees and the nonprofit community to drive meaningful impact.
She actively contributes to newcomer integration and workforce development, serving on the Steering Committee for the Halton Newcomer Strategy Group and engaging with local and national partnerships that advance workforce development and settlement. Moya’s expertise in newcomer settlement, employment, youth, and women’s issues has been honed through her long tenure in the field, making her an influential voice in advancing workforce solutions.
Beyond Achēv, Moya remains deeply committed to community engagement, volunteering with the Rotary Club of Mississauga and the Lions Club Dog Guide Program—further demonstrating her dedication to social impact.
