Music is a huge part of Black culture, and this workshop will bring you to a place where you will enjoy more than just the sounds—but will connect with the deep histories, struggles, triumphs, and social contexts that shape our music.
Understanding Black culture through music requires an openness to learning, empathy, and a commitment to examining historical and contemporary issues that come with the music.
Please join us to learn about the role of music and storytelling in resistance and empowerment and the importance of supporting Black artists. It will cover many aspects of Black History and cross-cultural understanding.
