The Project Management in Construction (PMCP) is a tuition-FREE program in partnership with Humber Polytechnic. This comprehensive 14-week training combines employment readiness, technical upskilling, and wraparound support services to help internationally trained professionals in construction secure employment in Canada by boosting their skills and connections, ensuring successful integration into the Canadian construction workforce.

Program Details:

  • Fundamentals of project management & planning methodologies
  • Cost estimation, budgeting, and economic analysis tools (feasibility studies, lifecycle cost analysis)
  • Risk identification and management
  • Procurement processes

Program Benefits:

  • Job placements (4-8 weeks) after completion of the training with sector employers, providing hands-on experience in real-world settings

Eligibility
  • Residents of Ontario
  • Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6 or higher
  • International education (diploma, degree, or certification) in construction or related fields
  • Professional work experience (1-3 years) in construction, engineering, or supervisory roles including work with developers, contractors, site managers, supervisors, estimators, or consultants
  • Permanent Residents, Canadian Citizens, Approved Provincial Nominee, CUAET VISA-holders, Refugee claimant with open work permit
