WOMEN’S CONNECTIONS AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (WCEP)

WCEP helps vulnerable women in Halton by providing a series of service activities and support to create, stabilize, improve their well-being, and establish strong social connections.

WCEP conducts workshops, networking sessions, and group meetings, offering customized services, tools and resources that include:

Educating and encouraging women’s involvement in discussions, workshops, and community events.
Facilitating information and guidance on a broad range of topics (cultural integration, education, parenting, employment, mental health, social services, housing, legal, etc.) and ensuring referral and access.
Enabling opportunities for women to build awareness of their issues, concerns, and abilities among the mainstream culture
Empowering women (developing their communication and leadership skills) while creating a more inclusive environment
Highlighting the importance of community engagement and service opportunities.

Services available to Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees and CUAET.
