WOMEN’S CONNECTIONS AND EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM (WCEP)

WCEP helps vulnerable women in Halton by providing a series of service activities and support to create, stabilize, improve their well-being, and establish strong social connections.

WCEP conducts workshops, networking sessions, and group meetings, offering customized services, tools and resources that include:

• Educating and encouraging women’s involvement in discussions, workshops, and community events.
• Facilitating information and guidance on a broad range of topics (cultural integration, education, parenting, employment, mental health, social services, housing, legal, etc.) and ensuring referral and access.
• Enabling opportunities for women to build awareness of their issues, concerns, and abilities among the mainstream culture
• Empowering women (developing their communication and leadership skills) while creating a more inclusive environment
• Highlighting the importance of community engagement and service opportunities.
