Oscar Bolivar joined Achēv 15 years ago and has over 15 of professional years of experience in the Finance and Accounting field dedicated to driving financial success and organizational growth in the Not-For-Profit sector.

Oscar joined Achēv as part of a program that supported the provincial awareness of Essential Skills in the Workplace and was subsequently retained by the accounting team. Oscar was soon appointed in 2020 to lead the restructure of the department, the internal processes and to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Serving as a Controller, Oscar supported the organization through constant revenue growth and ensured strong financial performance and sustainability.  Oscar was moved to Senior Director of Finance in 2022 as testament to his dedication and commitment to excellence.

Oscar demonstrates a meticulous approach to financial analysis and reporting, internal controls, auditing, and regulatory compliance, providing Achēv insights that continue to drive organizational successes.  Oscar easily bridges gaps between departments and creates synergistic and collaborative environments.

Oscar holds certificates of completion for Strategic and Business Planning, as well as mentoring and coaching individuals. His dedication to mentorship and team development has resulted in a high-performing Finance Department that is well-equipped to navigate the ever-evolving Not-for-Profit sector.

Oscar’s earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) in Colombia (La Sabana University – Assessed by U of T) and holds a Project Management Certificate from University of Toronto, He is currently a candidate for to obtaining his CPA designation.
