SUMMARY:Webinar 4: How to Use the National LINC Curriculum Guidelines (NLCG) - For LINC Administrators
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the new National LINC Curriculum Guidelines! This webinar is a must for LINC Administrators to better understand how the NLCG website can be maximized by LINC Instructors to create and tailor level-appropriate\, PBLA-aligned training materials for LINC clients. Attendees will understand the goals and intentions of the different sections\, including Get Started\, Essential Components\, Real World Task Guidelines\, and Detailed Sample Tasks. We will also discuss what LINC administrators can do to promote the use and adoption of the NLCG. \nPresenters: \n\nCarol Derby is one of the principal writers for the NCLG. She has been active in the EAL field for 30 years. She works at ISANS\, where she has been an instructor\, curriculum developer and manager. With an MEd in Adult Education\, she has sat on numerous boards\, including the CCLB\, New Language Solutions\, and the National Language Advisory Body (NLAB). Her consultancy work also includes the CCLB’s Language for Success project.\nSetsu Kawahara (she/her) is one of the principal writers for the National LINC Curriculum Guidelines\, focusing on EAL Literacy and CLB Stage I.
